Jazz Drummer Nate Panning has been playing drums for 23 years.  For the past fourteen years he has been sharing his abilities with audiences and students alike as a professional drummer, clinician, private instructor, and band director.

Born January 9, 1975 in Arlington, Virginia, Nate fell in love with the drums at a very early age.  By the time Nate was 13 he was seriously studying drums and beginning to imagine life as a musician.  In high school Nate joined the award winning Chantilly Jazz Ensemble which placed him firmly on the musical path of jazz drumming.

In the spirit of jazz drummers, Nate is open to and capable of playing all styles of music.  While maintaining a consistent, daily, personal practice regimen, he teaches drums at the Community School of the Piedmont, he is the band director at Seton High School in Manassas, Virginia, and he is one of the most active professional drummers in the Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland areas.
